After the March update, I noticed some #1 ranking posts have not so long content, mostly less than 2000 words, some posts are 800-1000 words. There have been down rank for long shit, not helpful content and up rank for shorter and succinct content. In my SEO community a lot of people also noticed it. They said the helpful is just 1 small factor, the rest is basically Google don't want to spend their resource to read and index super long, unnecessary content.

Summary: If the post is a big topic, cover multiple things but it's still helpful then it will rank good. But if the post can be shorter down and still keep all the meaning, helpful thing then Google will prefer it. What do you think about this?

Yes, that is true length doesn't matter Google looks over weather the content is useful to the user or not unless it is useful the content will rank.
