Rules Question

Well . . . there isn't a written rule and you are the first to ask this question. However, I don't believe it's a good way to offer downloads. Not everyone uses torrent clients, or even knows how they work. and of course that is a requirement when someone wishes to get a download via torrents.

If it is a large file. or group of files, you should download it first and if it is under 20 Megs, you need to do a VirusTotal scan. And then you would need to upload it to one of the preferred file sharing sites. They are:

- Rapidshare (but only if you have a Premium account)

- Multiupload.com

- MediaFire.com

- Uploadmirrors.com

- Wikiupload.com

Thanks I appreciate that. As far as general User knowledge, I think the number of people, particularly "black hat" types can use torrents...

I don't like that adware and crud that pops up at the "legal" sites, and would rather use torrents for commonly used files & programs.

It's a legal "grey area", and I would expect each forum would have it's own "line" drawn, somewhere.
