I just recently found out about RTB ads, and it seems to be the new rage if you search around about it. I signed up for a couple of places, and it looks interesting. Has anyone here had any initial success with it? It looks like it could potentially provide cheaper CPM's for targeted traffic vs google or other large ad networks.

RTB is AWESOME -- both for publishers and advertisers.I run my own ad server, connected to 30+ RTB platforms. Both publishers and advertisers are happy :)EDIT: I have more than 20 repeat advertisers, so I guess it works for them. From what I can gather, there is a learning curve though.

Good to hear, do you have any tips? I guess it may depend on the place you sign up with, as to what features they have. I haven't put in enough budget or time yet to tell if it's more beneficial to say ppc. I was on a webinar last week where they said their customers are getting better conversion and cheaper rates than PPC, but they were also selling their service, so I don't take a comment like that at face value.

I dont have experience as buyer -- only as a seller. However, I do see many repeat buyers buying the same spots over and over again.

I use RTB as a publisher and it is great as a supplemental technology to your other systems to increase fill rate and eCPM.
