I have a forum on my website and it has been a bit unactive recently. I was browsing the web and found a forum that had news feeds creating new topics. I was looking for something like this, if anyone knows how to do this.

I don't think that this is possible, I don't know how anyone managed to do that, are you sure about this?
Actually this is possible, I have seen it on a number of different forums, it comes as a feature on invision power boards, i don't think that other forum software has this feature though

Jkey is right, Invision are the only people that currently offer this as a feature. I think that it is a great way to create activity on your forum.

I just thought i'd air what I have heard, I think that there is a hack for other forum software to allow this sort of thing. If your interested then try searching google or something.

Using newsgroup feeds can also work - see vbulletin (dot) org/forum/showthread.php?t=92588 you find newsgroups that match your forum topics and set up the add on to pull in the latest posts from newsgroups. There is a similar mod for Phpbb too! It worked for my car forum to filll up the forums.
Sorry newbie cannot post urls remove (dot)

The vBulletin script is perplexing.
Honestly, newsgroups discussions do not have the "feel" of forums ones and the resulting content seems very artificial.

i need forum auto poster for my PHPBB forum.
if anybody have info on this plz plz PM me.

Like mentioned VBulletin pulls news/RSS feeds with the default install no need for any add-ons. Just click on RSS feeds in the admin panel and pick the feeds you want. The way I've used it in the past is letting all feeds go to a private admin only section and once I approve each article I'd move it into the appropriate section. That way you can keep the quality up.

There are phpBB and VBulletin, Answers scrapers posted here already.
