Can we make this section rotating to view all categories in the marketplace depends to website refresh?
It's just simple script.
Or manual / week. This would bring some attention to not exposed sections.

Interesting idea but can create confusion too IMO.

Manual updates would align better with the platform’s mechanisms, right?

I agree, doing that can make it more user friendly and can help other people navigate the website easily. there might be an admin that we can talk to

This is actually something that gets brought up internally in one of our weekly meetings from time to time. However, the main consensus is, people tend to use the sidebar as navigation not discovery. Adding rotation will just confuse people because something they use regularly isn't going to be in the right place, or even up there at all if it's currently out of rotation.

I do have past experience to back this up. I managed a site that had something like 40 categories and on the home page we had a box in the upper left hand corner with 10 of the most popular categories. At some point I decided to run an A/B test to see how rotating them would do. This is several million visits a month website and users who got the rotation actually took the time to write and complain about it. It was a looooooong thread on the forum as well. Needless to say, that was not only a short lived A/B test but we didn't go with the rotation.

So, the current decision is to not rotate the sidebar. Maybe in the future we'll change our minds, but for now, no.
