Hey everyone, heavy rain is coming for the next 3 days in my target area, and I’m thinking this could mean more roof leak calls. I’ve been running Google Ads for roof repair and replacement for 20 days ($1.2k spent) but only got one lead so far. My site’s optimized with calculators, forms, and CTAs, but it’s not converting well. I’m considering switching to Call-Only Ads for the rainy days with a $300/day budget. My thought is people might just call instead of filling forms during emergencies. Has anyone tried this? Any tips or suggestions? Thanks!

Are you running search ads specifically for leak fixes?

I do have some experience from a roofing company in Georgia, but also several other local service businesses that offer urgent type services.

For the roofing business, almost all forms were junk in general and most of them never even responded or you couldn't get in touch with the lead at all.

Most urgent style keywords we run call ads to mobile only and only during the early morning until about noon. The timing part is really just a request from clients, I'm sure you can still get decent leads throughout the day.

Yeah, I’m running ads for similar keywords like "emergency roof repair near me" and "roof leak repair near me." Just launched, so I’ll see how things go tomorrow.
