Hey guys I have a question about rocketprofit. It seems like a pretty cool affiliate network but basically this is my question.

I started promoting one of the email submit offers, and today I have had around 300 clicks and 10 conversions. Is this a high conversion rate? The leads however may not be interested in the offer but they have signed up and the conversions are showing in my stats. Can anyone tell me if rocketprofit or the advertiser monitor the activity of the sign-ups or how they ensure that the people signing up are interested in it.

Thanks in advance

they both monitor it.

If the leads don't back out for the advertiser they will drop you and maybe not pay you as well

Don't forget the WHOLE reason they are doing this is to make money and if it was you spending cash on people you don't know would you check up.

This is just basics of doing business.

But if you have a way of getting some grey/black leads make sure you mix them well with white leads as well

I've never had any problems with RP, although I don't do much volume. Mainly they're there so I have the ability to spread stuff around.

Every advertiser everywhere tracks back end conversion if they have even half a brain. By back end I mean the page(s) AFTER the email submit that you get paid on. If enough of your traffic doesn't do the parts behind the first page they'll either cut your payout or ask you to stop running the offer altogether.

There's no way to know exactly what percentages or numbers they're looking for, or exactly how many leads you have to submit before they start tracking, but here's my advice: if you're running black hat stuff that you know for sure won't convert on the back end, limit the number of leads per advertiser that you run to some number. You'll just have to decide what the number is based on the quality of your traffic.

I mainly use blackhat as way to make up for the scrubbing that the advertisers do. I estimate that 10-15% of my traffic is scrubbed, even for my WH stuff. So I throw about 15% BH traffic into the mix to bring it back to even. Basically blackhat gives me more room to play with in my bids and traffic buys than a pure white hatter gets. That gives me a competetive edge against ANYBODY who doesn't do some b/h.

By the way, I also test every offer with blackhat traffic for a while to see how badly it's being scrubbed. Then I'll run my w/h traffic to it and adjust accordingly. It's not a perfect science, and I don't do huge volume anyway, but I figure I can use all the edges I can get, especially in a crowded market.

So basically: blackhat is to let the advertiser pay for testing the market, then making up for their scrubbing to bring things back in balance.

And cuz it's fun as hell. :)

Yeah I get that. I'm promoting the free poker site though, it's basically just playing for free and generating poker points. Some of the leads were legit but i'm also testing if I get paid from them first, I have already made over $25 in a few days so I may just wait and see if they pay first.

Thx for the response

thanks for the response scub. Basically I checked out some of the offers and I see that a lot of them ask you to complete offers and do different things but for the poker sign up, it seems sign up>play. A friend signed up and he played a few games on it but he never received an e-mail from them since and he has been playing on it generating poker points, but it seems the offer i'm promoting doesn't have much 'back-end offers' or much else after signing up which is strange..

I guess you are promoting the pureplay offer. You need to understand that if all your leads are just not interested in poker, they will not back out for the advertiser. They wont make any money from it, so why should they pay you.

Like people have said above, I would advise you to mix your blackhat leads with whitehat leads. Its all about a balance.

I wouldn't worry if your doing low volume on an email submit.

I have never had a problem with payment from rocketprofit.

I'm from the UK and a few people have said ''they won't pay you'' but it seems they are pretty decent anyway, thanks for the help

I am from UK too. Dont worry about payment. They are a great network and I push good volume with them.

Cool rambo how do you receive your payment? I hear if i email an account manager I can get it transferred to paypal rather than check. How often/what date do you receive payments? Thanks for the help.
