Robo calls/ Telemarketer Advice

I get at least 10-20 calls per day on my phone from Telemarketers or Robo callers. I want this to stop or at least slow down. I have call control app and it helps a little but still get the first ring to go through if I put them on my blocked list..

So does anyone know of something that works better? even for a home phone? (or cell)

OR

Is there a service where I can put their number in and have it keep calling them to block their line? That would be some nice medicine for them.

Please anyone with any suggestions?

I run a local service business and it really is hard to answer all these calls all day everyday while actually trying to work..

I feel your pain. I don't get as many as you do. What country are you in because different countries may have different solutions. Have you looked into caller id and if it will block telephone numbers? Check with your service provider.

On my Android Samsung Cell phone I can block telephone numbers which I have done and it worked. But they could change number they are call from.

Anyone else have any info? Hate to ask again, but this has gotten out of hand and I would like to try any other options.

You should try registering your phone number on a blacklist like this one: https://www.donotcall.gov/
If they still call you, you can then make legal complaints.

the telemarketer may be subject to a fine of up to $16,000

Considered changing your number? Would it be hard to tell your contacts about your new number? (unless you have hundreds of people you constantly talk with).

Changing my number is not an option. I actually have several numbers from over 20 years in business.

@accessted, can't help you with any call blocking options other than what you mentioned and maybe using an IVR answering system that requires a caller to "Press 1 for Sales", "Press 2 for Support", etc. It won't stop live telemarketers but will send robocalls to your answering machine. So many companies use them today that callers are used to them depending on what you sell.

I do have a question for you. Of the telemarketing calls you are receiving, what are the top 3 or more product/services they are trying to sell? Example: SEO, Website, Business Loans, etc.

Number one is probably .. This is Google partner ... you need to claim or update your listing ... (SEO)
Number two is probably.. Scratch card giveaway... Not sure what those fools want...
Number three is for .... Loans...

This really should be illegal to bother businesses every single day...
