Hi all,

I've been lurking around here and many posts are making me inspired.

As of today, I've started a shopify store. I have zero knowledge and would like to hopefully keep my motivation going to get the full potential of what's in the industry now.

I'm so excited!

Thanks,

Goodluck with it. Keep us posted! I wouldn't advise you to start a shopify store if you don't have any knowledge about it.

good luck ..... if you have time try other things as well. don focus on only 1 project if you are a beginner.

Thanks everyone!

I added Oberlo and imported some products and mixed it with my own.

I added the one I ordered wholesale from Alibaba too before as I have plenty of stocks and after publishing it for an hour and posted it in some Facebook groups. I got my first sale!!!!! Soooo happy :)

Hope you find success on your journey. What niche is your store in?

Actually, a beginner's best chance in succeeding requires a full focus on only one thing. For someone who is just starting out, an information overload is a dangerous thing. Focusing on too many things and spreading himself/herself too thin is a surefire way to fail.

For the OP: I hope you brought your checkbook with this journey because Shopify business will drain your financial sources pretty quickly if you are looking to invest in paid ads. Other than that, I advise you to constantly update yourself with the newest information about Shopify journeys, see what other people are saying and learn. It is much better to avoid mistakes and learn from other people's failures than to make them yourself.

Many varieties but mainly health and beauty.. i've got clothing etc too

I got my 2nd sale this morning :)

Thank you so much.

I haven't done anything new yet as I am back to work. It's so hard to keep up updating your store when you've got other hundred things to do. How do you guys manage it?

For now, my marketing is mainly posting to local Facebook groups. I've added some rewards program to my website but I haven't customised my site properly. It still looks like a new one done by a newbie lol

I think it might be a good idea to read 100 pages back on each big section of the forum (which i'm currently doing). If you know laptop life is what you want to do forever it will be a very good investment of time and get you all calibrated to whats happening in making money online.
Lightningblitz also recommends this in alot of his posts

Find a way to automate everything you can. For posting on FB groups you can use MP or something.

Motivate yourself with the future of what it CAN bring to you. Positive thinking can only grow your store :)
