Hi,

in the last few days, I've been thing about getting into the QPP, to start earning some relatively small passive money, while still actually getting nice answers to my questions and maybe adding some links for my services.

Since it seems like, nobody is actually offering any qualified accounts, I've decided to grow some on my own.

What I currently have

- about 400 aged german quora accounts
- some free time (2-3 Hours per day at most)
- pretty good US shared proxies, which were bought for a different project

What is the plan

It seems like, it is pretty random, but also brand new accounts are not getting added. So I will try to get most of my accounts to some mediocre kind of activity and just leave them be for a while.

Every day I will activate a few new accounts with about 10-15 questions and 5 answers. Some will be in English and some in German, to see, if it is easier to get into the program in a different language.

Hopefully, after a while, I will see some QPP accounts popping out and if not, I will just try to monetize the warmed and aged account in a different way.

The goal is achieving about $1200 a month doing this, which is currently my rent. I like setting the goals to cover something existing, to feel the power of it :)

Wish me luck!

First Update

Hours of work so far: 3hrs

Accounts warmed: 4 (2 in English)
Total Questions asked: 42 Total (25 in English)
Total Answers written: 14 (8 in English)
Total question views: ~11k (0k monetized)
Profit: $0

The german community is definitely a lot smaller and generates a lot fewer views and answers. But hopefully, the bar will be set way lower, so I can start earning early on.

Hi, I would be one of your first buyer when you have a partner account. How much would you probably take for one account?

Cool, but i am currently not allowed to sell anything here. So we will have to wait.
I'm not sure about the price, but since the market is pretty dry right now, i would think about $150-200 per account.

Thanks!

Oh maybe I need to read the rules again but I thought you can sell something when you are a Jr. VIP.
But Price would be okay for me.
Just write me a dm when you have an account and are allowed to sell.
Thanks

So you are trying to farm accounts hoping that they will be accepted at QPP and then sell them?
Correct me if I misunderstood it.

Do you know, how long does it takes to be a part of the partnership program in quora?
Some say, it takes a year and some say around 5-6 months. :o

Really interesting! i will follow this, but wow 400 accounts its a lot.
-none of the accounts are in the QPP allready?
-do you plan to set different prices for accounts that get into the english , german or both QPP?
-do you think people will pay 150-200$ for QPP accounts with the recent earning cuts?

Holly s, that's a lot of accounts! Good luck!

I broke a rule, which i didn't know of, so i'm not allowed to trade for a week or so. Should be done soon ;)

Yes, this is one possibility. If it proves to be profitable just to continue posting questions to all of them, i will do that instead.

I actually don't know, but your number could be accurate. I will try to overcome this problem by leveraging the total amount of accounts.

- Yeah, none of the accounts are QPP (i think, lol). I will chat that as i warm them all up.
- If it works well enough, i will sell everything i got. If not, i will try to levarage all the accounts i got by constantly posting high quality questions.
- Since actually no accounts are on the market right now, i think, i could sell it for that price, but we will have to see, how much effort it takes.

Holly s, that's a lot of accounts! Good luck!

Thanks :)

Good luck on your journey! The number of accounts you have for this is a lot and I can only imagine the dedication. keep it up! :)

Small Update

Hours of work so far: 7hrs

Accounts warmed: 7 (+3)
Total Questions asked: 69 (+24)
Total Answers written: 21 (+7)
Total question views: 37,63k English + 1.47k German (+28,1k)
Views/Question (English): 0.7k
Profit: $0

One English account, I pushed with the best questions, got to 14.3k views after the first day, which is very good. One question instantly got very hyped and people started writing huge 1-2k words answers, so currently totalling 15 answers for that one question. I expect this question to do all the work needed for that account, so I will only add a few questions per week on there for now.

German community is way smaller so that accounts are only getting about 10% views compared to English. So I will probably keep the german account ratio low. Also no hyped questions there.

So far I've been coming up with questions myself. It is getting pretty hard to find good questions, so I'm currently looking for some kind of way to generate them, already have an idea. I'm actively looking for questions that will probably get viral or will generate a lot of outside traffic (preferably both) and still different enough, so they don't get merged.
I'm also thinking about automating the statistics gathering and cookie storage since constantly logging in and out and changing proxies is very time-consuming.

Best of luck. Quora is a gold-mine if utilized properly.
I actually don't get how all this works but fingers crossed and good luck mate

None of my accounts are in the QPP yet, so it's not that hard to achieve so far.

Small update

Since finding good questions has been my biggest problem so far. Letting a person write all those questions by hand is very error-prone and also expensive.

I decided to write an algorithm for writing good and engaging (yet unique) questions.

So far, it has been going pretty well, but it is a machine learning algorithm, so there are always some weird outcomes.

a few good, generated questions:

What is the best way to build an image?
Is there an API for finding your Facebook friend list?
What is the difference between Baidu and Yahoo?
What are some good web apps to make a small video?
What was the role of a teacher in your childhood? How did you develop your educational knowledge and skills?

A few weird ones:

Why do Indian girls wear bracelets on nipples?
What's the next question of this sequence 4+4+4?
What's the best book for a beginner to learn how to download/download?
A couple who has 4.5 sons went to the store for $1,200 worth of clothes. Each of their 4.5 boys went to the store for $1,200. Each of their sons went to the store last, but each of their sons went first. What is the total retail value of all of these items?

So as you see, it still needs some fine-tuning or maybe just way more data. Maybe I will try to find a person, who can sort out the good ones?

Anyways, all of my accounts got quite a few merges, so I will need to add more questions to all of them. Since I didn't do anything to the accounts, I will not update any stats/views.
Expect that in the next update.

sorry if my question seems stupid, but I don't know a lot about quora,
when you post a question, you have to put an answer, or just you post the questions and other remembrers will answer?

Good luck !
When do you expect to make some money?
Many tell me not to neglect Quora , which has already reached 360 million users. But I never figured out how to do it . I will follow this post . who knows ? maybe I'll start earning money with Quora.

Are you sure posting questions/answers even increases the changes of being invited? I hadn't even touched my account for years and got a random invite.
