Keep it mind that members with good reputation or history CAN also decide to scam. We've seen it several times.

New members are NOT all scammers.

But one thing is ALWAYS true. You have ZERO way to get your money back when the seller is using crypto.

OP wants his money back. The only thing that make it impossible for him to get his money back is crypto.

If he would sent his money to OPs burner Paypal or wired transfer somewhere in a third-world country - would it differ so much from cypto?

It's not the platform of communication or payment that should matter so much as the seller's track record and reputation.

I had no issues with the guy, like he did me a perfect job and also gave me full support even though if it was some shiny little details that were irrelevant and he still helped me.. I never had issues with the guy I even overpayed him for the great job he did. Idk but if he was a scammer he would have scammed me first.. my bot costed 180 $ I paid him 200$. All is well and all is running and I still get support from him.

Are you sure that if things went south you'd have given your money back?

When stuff work fine everybody's happy, and here in the DR section we tend to overuse the word scammer. But at the end of the day, he should've refunded and chose not to.

A good business lesson is to never charge an unhappy client.

I agree with you, but I know a scammer when I see one, if he was like that then he would have scammed me weeks ago. And also the guy didn't gave him any time at all, after all bro ain't chatgpt lol he has personal life too.. I mean for what I worked with him he was patience with me and I with him and so far no issues at all. Right now I even ordered another project from him, and also why refund the guy if he already gave him the software and he said he fixed it? I don't understand.

Well, he scammed someone. That makes him a scammer.

Again, we use the term 'scammer', very loosely.
It was awful client service and support, but I wouldn't call what happened here a scam.
Scamming is the act of taking someone's money with the intention of not proving anything in return. This is not what happened here.
He should have refunded and chose not to, but it wasn't a scam.

Scammed or not, the point of this Dispute Thread is that the accused had pretty much no interest in solving this. The staff gave them 6 days but they went radio silent on May the 2nd. I'm sure it could have ended better for them, but staff cannot keep Dispute Threads open indefinitely, as per the rules.

He took money, didn't delivered the service he was asking for.
Didn't show proof of his claims.
Kept the money.
He basically stole the money.
I call that a scam.
If I buy a car and the car is not working at all and I don't get a refund and the seller don't reply anymore after almost a week, I call it a scam.
It was only $150. This could have been resolved easily by a refund.

Again the seller kept the money and didn't show proof of a working service.
He also claimed that the OP was not showing the full conversation and that he will provide a video of the full conversation. After 6 days, nothing. It takes 5 minutes to make this video.
If he can't provide this video after 6 days, he is either lying or not available at all. If he is not available, he can't do the work he was paying for.

If you can't be available for your customer without refunding his money, you are a scammer.
Call it whatever you want. You may prefer a thief.

If you buy a car from a used car dealership and after payment you go back and ask for a sunroof, then seat warmers, then gold plated windscreen wipers, it wouldn't be called a scam if the dealership didn't deliver and didn't accept the car back.

I'm not saying that this is what happened here, but I think that this represent the DR better, with an expected amount of exaggeration to make my point.
