RMXHost downtime

its very obvious that rmxhost is out of business and they are not cooperating with any of their clients. If i was not able to transfer my host it would be like almost 2 weeks downtime for me... give up guys and hurry to transfer your files to another host.. its useless and hopeless to wait for them to work as we don't really know what happen to the owner.. whether his dead or sick or whatever his status is..

I have moved to a new host. RMX will never come back....Some one should post a shitlist thread about them........or I will post one.

Can someone please help me or tell me how to transfer my files, domain names to another hosting? please

Have just posted a thread on shit list. Once it is approved, I invite all of you to post on it.

We got a number from Arnis, his tech guy, we called, got some Russian dude on the Phone (i didn't talk to him myself but my programmer did) and he told that RMXHost was sold. Wtf. He gave another number of the new owner but that hasn't been picked up yet. I keep trying. Ofcourse when i got the message i called the number from Arnis back to put some more pressure but they don't pick up the Phone anymore. This is so fucking frustrating, i need to get to my files.

Does anyone else also had a backup server next to the dedicated server? I need to know the IP of this server so i can maybe transfer my files back.

I have a few monitors running and it sends me a message when there is uptime on different IP's. This is also costing me my lively hood and even if i need to get on a plane to go to the UK and Letvia, it doesn't matter to me anymore but i'm getting my files back.

Any updates from you guys?

I have buyed two packages from RMXhost in march, for a year. Two free domains + hosting.
The stupid thing I ever did. My sites stays more offline than online since then.
I am losing money, like all of you. It is very frustrating that I cannot acces the RMXhost to change my DNS nameservers to the new offshore hosting company that I signup with. (Tronichost)
I believe today it will be the 5th day since RMX is down.
I read somewhere in this forum that a guy have his website down for one week. (also on RMXhost.)
So I keep the faith that thiw nightmare will be over soon and I will quickly transfer my files to the new host.
Is there a way to access the domain so I can change the DNS with the new ones that I got?
I am mostly pissed off because in the day when I was changing the host the RMX have crashed. And yes I created backups, but I dont save this backups to PC, I created then from the DirectAdmin dashboard from RMX. Is there a way to access my backups? :)

Same here with the backups, due to some private issues i haven't got a recent backup. Stupid? Ofcourse. Will this happen to me again? No! But since it did happen, i'm screwed if i don't get it back. I don't think there is a way to access your backups to be honest, but if someone knows a way, please share this. My backups are not only on the mainserver, they are also transferred every night to a seperate server that i don't have the information from (right before it went down i made a couple of tickets requesting this information but they never replied to those tickets ofcourse).

I think we have 2 options:

1) Let's pray that there is something going on and the server will go online a.s.a.p. (wishfull thinking maybe)
2) We need the help of the datacenter and a few replies above this reply there is some work in progress, hopefully they respond and help us out.

The frustrating thing is....i only need about 10 minutes uptime and i'm all set to download the database.....let's keep faith and hope one day we an laugh about all this.

If anyone has some more information, please let uw know. For the one that can actually help me to get to my files there is a reward of $1000 .

Ray send me a personal message with these details, I'm in the uk and I have no problem with goign down and sorting this out for us all in person.

This is absolutely ridiculous and the guy deserves no respect.

I've had ONE reply from who I got in touch with and they basically told me "Look rmx host is gone deal with it!" I was told to keep my old backups and use some are you ready for this? A new domain name. Yep.

fuck i cant believe that person sold it without even informing all his clients. rmxhost owner you are suck!!!!

apparently now it's due to them being unable to pay their bill but it's likely they COULD be back up at some point, if this happens everyone RUN as fast as you can transfer domains, hosts, everything!

Hey guyzzzzz I have a sad new for you I came to know through a friend that RMX HOST is shutdown!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shut down by who? not paying there bills or what? Some more information would be great....

Liamh: i can't send PM's, if you PM me your e-mail address i will sent the information i got.

there's no harm in trying, am sure they can speak english too.

Alright no worries, Also I dont think bloggerbasic knows anything to be honest. some servers are STILL online so they are not "shut down"

No new news as of yet, still concerned for my files...

I might just start from scratch and work up from new :(

I'm gonna use Alibabahost as I've heard that's a better alternative to RMX, also known as fatpighost, offshore and now accepting Paypal (had an e-mail from them saying they accept PP now :D) as when I ordered it before took forever to set me up as payment wouldnt clear properly. But they've supposedly fixed that now.

Right well I finally got a response from the datacentre, it seems they haven't paid their bill yet..

Here's what they said:

Hello,

I could just tell that the client hasn?t paid for his services, so that?s why these servers are down. Anyway he isn?t answering to emails for the long time..

Ok that's good work!

Can you ask them if we can get to our files someway, especially for dedicated servers that are bought etc?

Can you please send me the Phone number or contact details of the datacenter that you got in touch with?

please we need to see some update so that we can get our files

After speaking to Mantas from the datacentre, he said RMX has an outstanding invoice and hasnt paid them for a month and a half now, I'd provide screenshots of this but I can't post links.

He's agreed to try and help me get my files back, and if he does it for me I'll tell you how I did it.
