Hello everyone,

Sorry if this topic is in the wrong section, but i'm unable to send a PM to RMXHost and i can't contact them in any way.
I got in touch with him via this forum so i'm hoping this post is allowed. Thank you.

To RMXHost: Your complete datacenter seems down for over 48 hours now, even you own site and all the sites from your clients including mine. There is nobody answering the Phone, tickets that were sent one week ago about downtime are not handled and since everything is completely down at this moment (for more than 48 hours) i really want to know what the hell is going on.

Any other clients of RMXhost having the same problem?

Kind regards,
Ray

Yes I have had this problem also. I could care less if the hosting goes down or away even though I really have liked rmxhost. I would just hope he is considerate enough to allow us to transfer our domains and content to a different host if he is planning on shutting it down otherwise were all in for a shit ton of work. :(

I think the problems that will rise if we can't access our files to transfer it will be more than huge.
Let's hope it goes back online soon....
Anyone with more information or ways to contact them?
The emergency number seems to be out of order(could be my Phone), Skype is hopeless, tickets can't be submitted ofcourse so i'm out of ideas.

I would move to hostgator, been with them for 4 years now. Never had any downtime.

same here, they can at-least send as a mass message to back up all our files because they were closing .. I have transfer my domain to another hosting which really affected my ranking and lost so much money for one week downtime... I try to keep sending them ticket for one week and no reply, So tired of waiting for reply. so it leaves me no choice but to leave and its the right decision to be made.

@ray19831 find another hosting, its useless I think they already closed their business.. they have fucked all their clients

it will never come back for sure.. this is so far the longest downtime I have experience. I tried to contact them , skype, phone, ticket and even pm'ing them but no reply has been received.

Its down from the past 3 days and it is not the first time. I was lucky that I took a backup of my files on 15 May 2013.

The moving is not the problem, the problem is that i can't access my files and we also run a backup server that we also can't connect to. Does anyone know the name of the datacenter itself so we can contact them and ask what's going on and how we can get our files and databases?

You should have taken a backup of your files as the last down time was also of more than 3 days. I feel myself lucky that I have at least a backup of my files.

We didn't experience the downtime (the one you are referring to) and switched to alternative nameservers with a 1 minute TTL. So thanks for the tip but i could have figured that out for myself as well ;-)

Can you explain what you did??

RMX always goes down, but normally comes back up eventually.
Remember they are DCMA ignored, so really in my opinion you shouldn't be on there unless you have some really risky content - and if you have really risky content, then you can appreciate that the hosting may go down regularly (since all of the clients are likely pissing people off!).

I guess thats the price you pay for this service.

If the downtime of several days is the price of DMCA ignored host, then I will never go with them again.

Two weeks after buying hosting+free domain, still nothing. No answer to tickets, it's a shame.

If I only have domains on there. Do I just loose the domains? or will they become unregistered if the hosting shuts down? or is there a way to get them back?

I was also lucky in this situation also. I asked him to transfer the domains to my namecheap account and he did [1 month ago].

its more then 48 hour my site is still down.
I am loosing ma money and i am afraid if i change my hosting then i can loose ranking.

i totally object on this .. have downtime of more than a week its no longer a downtime. beside paying almost 200 dollar per month was never easy.. and it return you will get a very long time downtime.. which is a lose of money and a lose of ranking... they can atleast notify their clients to back up all their files.. before they can do major downtime. but they dont and that sucks big time.
