Rival Dropshipper Threatening Me For Using Their Listings

If you guys have seen any of my posts, or been following my DSing journey (which is going pretty well IMO, 7 sales in 7 days...), you've probably seen me pop up with a time or two concerning DSing.

Anyway, I found a decent amount of my listings through another store with good success. I re-used most of their product titles, sometimes adding/subtracting a word or two.

This seller just messaged me telling me to discontinue leaching their listings or they would report me to the largest dropshipping communities.... lol

Now, is there anything to really worry of? I mean it's 100% evident they're DSing as well, and is copying someone's listings even a viable offense?

Also 99% of my listings descriptions are not theirs. I may have one or two of their descriptions, but I'm going into my store right now to change them (if there are any).

I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Obviously if your selling the same products there is going to be similarities in your title. Plus customers don't ever visit drop shipping forums.

Sounds to me you have nothing to worry about unless you're leeching copyrighted content, although I'd be passed off if I was them.

Are you selling on a platform or your own website? If it's not on your website, you will have to read their TOS about copying other listings.

There knothink to worry about

What has hapoen the person you got the listing from has done split testing to see best sales and you come along and took the listing and he pissed lol

That the life of internet marketing, this happends on amazon , ebay and others all day there nothink he can do

What if you said to him no sorry your copping me.

Like i say there no legal battle over who did what where the real proof .....

Let him cry , thousands copy my php code in the old days sod it ..

There no way in a million years that anybody can copywrite listings of selling items on any website no matter how rich they are.

The only thing i suggest is be carefull in any content written via them , you need to change it as it completly Diffrent , that might cause a court case but i dint think so, i think he done research split tested and you stole his idea and listings.

Tell them internet marketing is a doggy dog world , what here today gone tomorrow nothink last forever .....

Yeah, I figured there wasn't much to be done.... I'm selling through eBay currently.

Gameplan is to work up to 2 functioning, marginally profiting stores, then begin to advertise my own DS store (probably through shopify) via watermarks, etc. (on eBay) & then obviously ads.
