Hey, new here but been using ppc for years off and on.

it’s darn expensive isn’t it. My keywords are quite competitive about £6/click and it does bring the leads in but really does feel like gambling at times. Spending about £1k a month and always get it back and it brings in leads but takes a while for the conveyor of sales to kick in.

anyway, you’ve got to spend it to make it I suppose, grow some balls and deal with it.

If you feel it is expensive, many people use "churn & burn" accounts, with strategies.

Hey there! Spent a good week optimising, adding negatives. I’m a web designer so click costs are quite high and people tend to search for some odd things, hard to track them all down as exact matches, at the moment got a load of phrase match keywords.

spent about 500 in a week but got 2600 of work in (only collected deposits so only 1300 come in) do you guys think this is a decent return? Advice welcome and warmly appreciated with smiles.

Yes, spending 500 dollars and getting 5 times return is a nice return.

But you should lower your CPC. Make sure your quality score is not less than 8.

Also make separate adgroup for matching keywords.
