So I was wondering and had an idea. Can I buy higher end electronics such as an ipad or tablet. then a week later say I noticed corrosion around the battery area on the metal, and that the battery has been punctured and leaking. Because it is illegal to ship a possible corrosion/acid containing product without the proper containers and external notifications, will amazon just refund me and allow me to keep the product?
ripping off amazon? would this work?

Ive seen people offer services where they get items for free from amazon, but charge you like 25% that goes straight to them, so a 200$ item they will get for 50$ for you. how do they do that then? I know we actually had a kindle fire leak battery acid, and they said to properly dispose of the product and not to send it in, but then amazon gave us a 100$ off voucher off a new kindle, was wondering if i could do the same but just say I want a refund.
