The world has just lost the greatest boxing champion ever. He was a great boxer and
    great entertainer.

I'm sure some of the younger people probably won't know who he was but I'm sure older people
    like me will.

    RIP

I'm actually old enough to remember when he was Cassius Clay. :)

    RIP Muhammad Ali (Cassius Clay)

Poor guy... He had such bad health for the last twenty years and looked really frail in his recent appearances. He forever changed the face of boxing and will never be forgotten.

    RIP Muhammad Ali

As a very young boy, I had admired him since I read about him throwing away his Olympic Gold medal in a river, because he was still treated differently (badly) because he was (still) black. Salute to that great Attitude. He worked the hardest and the best, and brought happy moments for his countrymen, but some chose to never understand the great man. Indeed, he was the greatest boxer of all time (arguably), and he was also one of the best persons America has ever produced.

I also remember the live coverage of an Olympic event where he carried the Olympic torch to its final destination, the Olympic cauldron, Atlanta Olympics 1996, even while his body was suffering... That was the highest honor given to him by all the Americans imo, more precious than all his winning trophies, belts, championships, and medals. A true patriot and a true sportsman of not only America but the entire world too...

RIP, dear Ali, you really deserve the well-earned rest in that very lovely, a very peaceful, and a very beautiful Home forever. Ali, you had been one of my real life heroes, right from my childhood along with another of the greatest human beings Bruce Lee, and you shall always be remembered very fondly! Somehow, both of you had given me the much-needed inner strength to fight off life's many adversities, and come out better and stronger...

RIP, and yes, keep that great flame burning in majesty still, till eternity, and beyond! God bless your wonderful soul!

    P.S.:
I had done this B/W to Color image of one of his greatest moments in the boxing ring, and I present this as my ultimate respect towards the man who absolutely is one of those who have helped shaped my own life and attitude since my childhood:

Thanks, man! You're "The Greatest", and one of the very bests!

You know he used to get angry if he was called Cassius after he took the name Muhammad Ali? You don't want to upset such a person...

That's awful. I generally don't care when famous people die but Ali was a champ where it mattered most (outside the ring).

I remember just a few months ago going on an Ali binge on Netflix. This guy had the wisdom and foresight to record his children at a young age and ask them what their dreams were / what they wanted to be when they grew up. He apparently recorded them a lot which I thought was weird considering the time. Then when asked "why", I don't remember his exact answer I just remember tearing up like a bitch.

He said something about how everyone has to have a dream. How everyone's put here for a purpose. And if you don't hold yourself accountable for your dreams then whats the sense of being alive? He also told his kids "I'm gonna play these tapes back when you grow up and you better be a (whatever)!!!" Then his kids would laugh like crazy.

You could tell it wasn't boxing that made Ali who he was. He was so smart / confident / positive he would've been a champ at whatever he chose to do with his life. RIP.

Considering that Ali had advanced Parkinson's, death was probably the best thing that has happened to him in a long time.
