You manage to say the most inane things at the worst possible time, and it always seems like you are simply repeating a quote that you heard Anderson Cooper say on CNN just 7 minutes ago. If he had said it 12 minutes ago, your 128 kbyte short-term memory buffer in your little pea-brain would have dumped that data and traded it in for "tastes great, less filling" and you wouldn't have thought to post in someone's thread about the suicide of someone they think was important.
You aren't important. You are standing blind and dumb, mouthing meaningless dreck you barely remember from the TV you were watching 7 minutes ago, and it's offensive to people that have upgraded from their Pentium II processor. You should step back, maybe watch some "Wives of Bumphuck County" or something safe. Maybe eat some carbs and wash it down with diet mountain dew. Isn't it time for your Prozac?
To the OP, I also read the news, and I'd heard of the prodigy before that, but not much. I always get a bit suspicious when everyone starts extolling the virtues of a child prodigy that does something everyone considers "great". And I always wonder what the real truth is. Maybe he just got lucky, and did something "not so great" that no one else had thought of, or like Bill Gates, "invented" something that everyone else was aware of, only he could see how it could be put to use (which is a legitimate talent that most people do not recognize until someone else becomes a millionaire).
Maybe one of his problems was that he was constantly having to live up to the hype of being "Someone Special" instead of simply being "Someone that got lucky", and so he replaces some kind of unknown congenital brilliance with a bold willingness to skirt and violate the law. I've been there myself. Eventually, you are expected to live up to the high-praise everyone has dumped on your head, and the natural reaction of the inadequate is "Well, if I can't do what you can't do in THIS way, let me do what you won't do in THIS way, supplanting bold (and foolish) action with true genius.
I think that all these people, this kim.com's, and other computer wizards ought to find some small and isolated island with high-speed internet service, and start working toward overthrowing the governments that seek to imprison them. They have the skills, and they can make the money. Throw in some sound political philosophy and people willing to take up arms and put them to good use, and it might not be that difficult to topple a few governments.
War is a better alternative than suicide. The objective in war is not to die for your cause, but to make the enemy die for his. I would have preferred the 2nd alternative, for Swartz, Assange, Pirate Bay, Private Manning, etc... The kids that got maced by the cops during the "occupy" movement. It's easy to mace unarmed kids, as there is no threat of retaliation. A single, ineffective gunshot from an anonymous window would have slowed those cops down enough to consider the possiblity that macing unarmed teenagers that are doing nothing but sitting and chanting may result in that fat cop not getting to go home to dinner that night.
We saw how brave the cops were during the Rodney King LA riots. They LIKE their good-paying jobs, their gym memberships and their retirement pensions, and they are not about to go out of their way to jeopardize any of that if they can avoid it. They feel more comfortable harassing activists that seek to video tape them in order to document exactly where the line is between government power and individual rights. It's safer that way. No danger of going to the morgue in a plastic bag.
It's authority that craves safety; not the people. The people face an unknown universe each and every day. This overly enlarged boil on my arm may turn into flesh-eating bacteria by tomorrow morning, and I may wind up with an amputation, or a septic infection that goes to my heart and kills me. We live with the dangerous unknown, each an every day. We don't know for certain where our money is coming from, if we'll be allowed to keep it, if it will be enough to pay our bills etc... and government, well government employees (cops, beaurocrats, etc...) have that all figured out for the rest of your lifes, which is that you'll be paying for them, whether they do their job for you or not. They'll still get their medical care. And if that means that some anonymous clerk with a large boil on her arm goes to the ER on a Saturday night and costs her health insurance plan $5,000, well her deductable is only $250, which means you & mea are paying for the remaining $4,750. while we cannot afford to get our own arms treated;
She take a whole week off, nursing the staph infection on her arm, and I'll be working tomorrow morning 1st thing, while monitoring for red streaks and fever as hopefully and early-warning system of a full-blown infection.
I'll risk my life in order to work on a Sunday, and that government employee will take the entire week off only because she can.
The most important thing for anyone that aspires to become a part of something greater than themselves is that they have to be able speak out loud the name of their ENEMY, and to describe in plain and simple language why the enemy must be destroyed. Just make certain your "enemy" isn't spoond-fed to you by that butt-fucking faggot Anderson Cooper from CNN, otherwise you'll become a brainless douche like Rozla.
