RIP 10 Beasts & Supplement Police

I was right about this scoolarship links ... But this guy was swear in only white hat link building :)

Yeah the owner said this in a group conversation.

and this is the listing for his website https://empireflippers.com/listing/44014/

Ouch. It's pasted as Empire Flippers T&Cs.

600k down the drain.

After the site is migrated and the buyer has confirmed ownership, traffic, and earnings, the funds will be released to the seller. All sales are final and there are no refunds. Earnings and traffic may decline due to google updates, increased competition, mismanagement by the buyer, and other factors. Empire Flippers makes no guarantees written or implied of the future performance of the site.

About the scholarahip technique - anyone has more info about exactly what type of links got penalised? Is he talking about “natural” scholarship links?

I used to visit 10beasts but never liked their content quality. It had dreamily written sentences.

Job well done I say. Raked enough money out of that stuff to retire and then flipped it right before the shitstorm. Watch and learn kids!

Exactly my thoughts. He may have had luck with the timing but im sure it was intended to some point.

I did read the site from top to bottom and the content was not what i would consider top notch. And the fact that he openly wrote that the site was ranked through scholarship links and PBN's should probably warn every serious investor.... sinking 600k into a website like this? Im guessing the buyer won't be hurt that much. If you have 600k to spend and are not able to do proper due diligence - it won' t be your last dime.

Ouch that sucks badly for the new owner.
Is anyone else experiencing drops in their ranks from scholarship links? I think they might be negatively effecting one of my sites... probably going to disavow :/

Thank you google!! Top search results for stuff like "best product" were filled with piece of shit websites which had several things in common: trash content, amazon affiliates and scholarship offerings. Won't miss any of it.

The guy kept saying he built PBN links and stuff and also claimed that he only built 'white hat' links??? the heck

I was actually surprised that this website last this long, 10beasts.com has caught public eyes since Dec 2016. But gotta say well done to the guy. He is a real deal.

Just curious, was anyone able to find out how did he rank 10 beasts.com?

It's a really thin site without much silo or topical relevance.

He abused .edu backlinks with his scholarship.
He also wrote a typical seo guru bullshit article how he ranked but never mentioned that just his scholarship got him into the top ranks.

Actually kind of sad that it took google over a year to fix it.

That's what happens when you use a ton of PBN links and brag about it. Smart move to have sold it right before Christmas. What's really funny is how he mention that he doesn't have any time to update new content (?). Dude, you're making 20k++ a month I think you have the funds to hire a kickass writer to update the site with new content.

Well i spoke with the guy frequently and i must say i never believed it was just scholarship links that got him there...Im watching many sites that do scholarship links and i can tell you for sure its not that. Each of my sites got nice boost by the last updated even though i used scholarship campaign on each of those..

If he used PBNs than he was able to hide them pretty good, ranking for the terms he did , you would have to have real pbn power but in ahrefs and other tools you couldn't find many...

Site is still ranking for some nice terms so maybe buyer can add new articles targeting new keywords and rank for some other terms.

He going to help get it back up and running .

Becouse the sale was 600k .

amazing move .

fancy buying that for 600k but like said it attracted a load of traffic .

he on a mission to correct that website .

surly google and all overs will penilse that domain surly.

Not only that, but he stated in the Empire Flippers listing that no PBNs were used for the site.
Isn't this fraud?

i never believed it was just scholarship links that got him there
This might be true. I have a site where I sent 15+ scholarship links to. It has not been affected yet...

The buyer is a she..,,what do u aspect? Only a woman can do dumb shit like this.....but bravo to the boom boom pakistani kid for cashing out that 600k.
People do dumb shit everyday :P
These sites are mostly purchased by companies who want to push their products...

I guess this marketing stunt backfired maybe.

Still she is probably making more than most of us ever will ;)

I guess he was manually reviewed, this ain't algorithm penalty. If it was, people here would have gone nuts !!

A small update is discussed to the lengths.

An update where edu links are disvalued :l
Would kill so many sites :P

Backlinko + 10beast's case study suggests this strategy so just take a guess ;)

F***en thief ... I feel bad for the buyer :(

Anyway, I am 70% sure its manual penalty.. when you get famous, google start digging

Not the first site and won't be the last
