I started creating content on TIKTOK, just a meme kind of content. The engagement wasn't too encouraging so i decided to use a little amount for promotion and it worked on just the selected videos. Does it make sense that i am promoting at an early stage but?

Making sense, boosting only your best-performing videos isn't wasted spend, it's just accelerating what already works. Just make sure the boost is testing reach, not covering up a weak hook that needs fixing first.

IMO, as long as you are spending your budget on videos that have already gained some traction on their own, there’s nothing wrong with promoting them early on. It could also help you understand which memes/hook are effective to create more of them.

Nothing wrong with promoting at an early stage, just make sure you’re building an audience that engages naturally rather than chasing views through paid promotion.

ye nothing wrong with promoting early. If a video gets better engagement with a bit of paid reach, that can tell you which content is worth making more of

nothing wrong with that, just make sure you are also working on the quality of your content as well, including hooks to boost organic reach

Nothing wrong with promoting early. It can get more people in front of your page, but your content has to give them a reason to follow

make sure you have a clear target with your boost spend i.e. gain early reach to non-followers. once you have a decent follower base create good content to keep them engaged to build a stronger community base.

Totally agree, just keep doing what is effective and keep spending on high traction videos for maximum reach is a recipe for success.
