Ridiculously low RPM on adsense

So, I am using my IG traffic to generate traffic to a blog. Its for pets. And yesterday, I got 2k views on the site from good countries, and all I got is $.10?! Is this because I havent used Adsense in a while or what?

Please also recommend some alternatives because this is ridiculous. (Also sorry if this is in the wrong section)

Pet niche ?? You can make big bucks with affiliate marketing.

2k views is really nothing, a lot depends on how traffic performed on your site, as well as it’s geo.

Really? What network would you recommend? Iv always been more ecom based so I don’t know much about AM

Test different layout/positioning of your ads on different pages, compare result

I can feel your pain. My RPM is like .10 cents now lol. I had a CPM bid of like 11.00 when I first signed up then stupid noob me. I sent like 10k traffic to that site thinking I could bank. My RPM is crap now.

My RPM was average, then as bad as yours, then suddenly overnight my RPM increased to $12. I could see it being because you haven't used it in a while, yes, it might need time to adjust.
