Anyone use those ridiculously cheap hosting packages on eBay that go for like $5 a year? Was wondering if they would be any good for pbns

I have used them in past and would never ever recommend them to anyone.
Most of them have downtime issues or they deliberately suspend your account asking for upgraded plan.
Support in most cases is unresponsive.
It's better to with hosting from hostkoala compared to these.

No one will use these cancer shit, you never know what you get, let's think they are the owners of the servers, they can stole your entire DB and have access to your website.
Why searching in Ebay? Not a good marketplace for such services.
Buyshared.net is very cheap, alexhost.com also is very cheap.
More cheap than this, you can go with OVH VPS 4.00€ 2GB RAM.

i think if you are trying to host a static page github is your buddy, you can use their hosting for free and you can have a custom domain name as well.
if you want more flexibility then Wordpress is your option. of course you will need to pay for the hosting

Awesome thanks for the feedback, that's pretty much what I thought, which is why I was thinking in terms of like for a few pbns to further obscure the footprint (maybe throw in one or two pbns in the network from one or two of those providers,) but you're probably right LOL it would be about as efficient if not more to even just go with one of the free cpanel hosts for that purpose, and that's not a good option either
