Hey guys,
I noticed a few of you (Hex was one) mention "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" - from what I've read of reviews this sounds like a great book and I'm looking into purchasing it (along with a few other Robert Kiyosaki's books).
Anyway, I'm currently in highschool and I can't see myself working for 'the man' - my goal is run my own business, whether that is online or offline or a combination.
I'm not interested in the whole, finish Year 12 with top grades, got study for another 3-6 years full time and the battle it out in the real world (away from study) for a job.
What I am hoping is this book will provide some insight and perhaps provide confidence in what I want to do. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a lazy worker nor am I proposing that I don't expect to work hard. I can provide brilliant work and can work extremely hard in topics I am fond of however.
Other books I plan on checking out:
- Rich Kid, Smart Kid
- Cashflow Quadrant
- Dilbert Series by Scott Adams
Not entirely sure what I am looking for in a response (oddly enough
) - maybe people's personal opinions on it? Did it give you a whole new perspective? Can it be adapted to anything? (IM, offline, etc)
Thanks guys
