Hi BHW fam,

Okay so I am changing my website into a Movie streaming site, I have found a ready theme with auto embed which imports a template of a complete website just like 123movies etc. The problem is when I add the theme into my wordpress site and activate it nothing changes from the way I had already designed my site on a different theme, I saw something in the instructions saying "rewrite all files" is that the problem? If yes how can I do that?

Thank you in advance

Do you have cache plugin?

Please try activating the theme and visit your website from another browser / device.

Yes I have WP Rocket, could that be causing the problem? Also should it normally completly change without me having to delete anything? Thanks for the help btw

If you are making changes and your actual site is not changing, the issue should be in caching. There's website level caching which is WP Rocket, which is easy to fix - clean cache after changing theme.

There could also be server level caching, if you are hosted via Cloudways use this guide (turn off Varnish). There's also domain level caching if you are using Cloudflare, use this guide to see if this helps.

If you have made the theme change and purge all cache available and it does not help, i'm available via dm - send me your url and i'll do my best to help, free of charge ofc.

Make sure to check the permissions of your hosting folders as well. It might be a problem with cache and activating your theme.
