I have a personal Twitter that has 60k followers, but once I passed the 50k threshold a year ago my engagement plummeted. Posts that did 1000's of likes do 100. Posts that did 300 likes do 9.

The account is for an adult content persona, but I don't post anything explicit.

To be honest, the engagement drying up has made it frustrating to be consistent on the account.

And now I'm seeing a steady loss of followers.

Are there any methods for reviving this account? I don't want to start a new account.

Engage your audience first by using Twitter polls or ask open-ended questions, retweet the most interesting answers to give them value, always respond when someone reaches out, know our peak hours and always post content during that time. You can also retweet/like your users' content whenever possible as they will be more interesting to engage with you this way.

Twitter doesn't work like IG. I've seen accounts with more followers than your account getting lesser likes on their tweets. I think the best method is to follow twitter trends, make captivating tweets on trends then, you'll see results since your followers are not seeing your tweets at the moment. The trend method will fetch you more followers as well.
