Hi everybody
I have been on Instagram since 2012 and from then i already saw business potential to make Instagram a living. I was very good and successful at it, reaching 22K followers on my food accounts and having many celebrities following the account, the engagement was really good like 1200 likes in one hour and 70 comments which in that years was pure gold, the main success was probably because celebrities used to give me shoutout for free or sharing my content on their page.
Back then it was really easy to get those ID with strategic name and i was able to build a brand using the @amazing trademark with different niches. The niches are primary food, hotels, house design and fashion hence my accounts @ (ID) were strategically chosen to represent specific niches, for instance i used wonderful as initial and added the nice name (example: amazingfood, amazingdestinations etc).
Currently my situation is not doing great, I left my accounts for ages without using them as i focused on my studies (in 2015) , my top notch account with 22K followers, plumbed down at 16K followers loosing many followers throughout the years (5-6ish years). the last time i posted in 2018 (3 years later) for a week i was able to get a good engagement, like 1K views per video, but very low likes 50-60 but the post was saved by many people throughout that week but again i stopped and here me again 3 years later in 2021 with very low engagement.
My question is what should i do with my food account, It is possible to convert back or revive the food death account into a good engagement traffic account back? or is it better to transfer the username into a brand new account start all over again? I was planning to use the Hashtag strategy found on BHW to grow the engagement rate as currently i cannot afford any automations software with subscription. Instagram has changed a lots, I remember that without restrictions back then i was able to make 5000 followers in one day just by unfollowing and following. However now i am considering a newbie and i would like to know what would you do in my situation.
