My Experience with MarsProxies – Beware of Their Refund Policy

I recently purchased a proxy service from MarsProxies, only to find out immediately after payment that their service wouldn't work for my setup. Their proxies only support a single IP, whereas I needed access from different devices. Unfortunately, this restriction wasn't clearly stated on their sales page—I only saw it in a small "Important" message after I had already paid.

I contacted their support team within minutes of my purchase, requesting a refund since I hadn't even used the service yet. The response? A flat refusal. The representative (Tristan) insisted that their policy was clear, even though I pointed out that it wasn’t mentioned anywhere on the sales page. Instead of handling the situation professionally, their approach was dismissive and confrontational. At one point, Tristan even accused me of not reading properly and suggested that it was my fault for not digging through their FAQ or help center before purchasing.

Most legitimate online services offer a same-day refund for accidental purchases or cases where the service isn’t as expected. MarsProxies, however, sticks to a "gotcha" style refund policy, where if you don’t notice an important restriction before paying, you’re out of luck.

If you’re considering MarsProxies, be extremely cautious—read every fine print detail before purchasing, because they won’t refund you even if their service doesn’t work for you.

Would I recommend them? Absolutely not.

That sounds frustrating. Proxy providers should be clear about their limitations upfront, so customers aren’t caught off guard. Transparency is key, especially if they don’t offer refunds.

I agree with the same day refund thing for both start and renewal. Heck even partial if it's over a day is welcome, IMO just for those sudden shite that suddenly come up. I mean sure, caveat emptor in a way, but damn 0 consideration for your patrons and no flexibility is not a good look. Also burying important details far back is just... bruh.

I’m sorry to hear about your experience -- that’s really unpleasant and not very fair on the service’s part.

Since we operate from the other side (meaning we have experience running a service ourselves), I always recommend carefully reviewing the terms of service, especially the refund policy. Out of curiosity, I checked the refund section of the service you mentioned, and it does have rather strict conditions that don’t allow for refunds.

However, it’s worth noting that such refund policies often contradict the regulations of many countries -- and more importantly, the rules of payment systems used for transactions. So if the service itself refuses a refund, you can always try filing a complaint with the payment provider or even through your bank.

I’m mentioning this because I genuinely believe that a fair approach to customers benefits everyone -- both businesses and users alike.

I do agree, that customers should read through terms and conditions. As for this particular case, I can not see reason as why refund could not be issued, especially if the customer can prove, that service has not been used and is not fit for the particular use case. Have you considered an upgrade to another plan? Their representee is on this forum, so worth contacting them.

It might go against their tos to refund but if it was me I’d do it as a goodwill gesture ( and have done with businesses I run ) Its a genuine case of a mistaken purchase and I presume they can see that the proxies were not used at all

Just seems like common sense
