Is there any free service that will get you the name of the person that is calling you by just typing in the phone number? If so please share it with me i need it urgently.
Thanks

have you tried typing the number into google? i know there was one around a while ago i think skagenweb was running it but it wasn't free (offer if i recall) are you in the US?

I typed the number on google but all i get is a bunch of sites which in the end I have to pay to get the information. Yea I am in the US
Thanks a lot for your response

Wrap "" around the number. Put it without spaces. So something like: "445-566-7777" and "4455567777".

Good Luck.

Try whitepages.com, if it's a business phone usually come up with business name and address location. Residential if it's published one then you can see name and address. Check the reverse phone tab : whitepages.com/reverse_phone.
Hope it helps.

anywho is the same website i used as a service rep for MCI before verizon bought them
it is still up and it still works

Go to tnid.us

This site will let you reverse look-up unlimited cellular numbers absolutely free! They provided me the provider of every wireless number that I searched for, and sometimes even the name of the wireless owner. I am going to make this an automated feature in my software.

cool Vectorius, never heard of that one before, i always used to use whitepages but your link is much better than it.

There is actually an iPhone App that finds out who's calling you even BEFORE you answer the phone...

Just wanted to inform you about our brand new Utility App for iPhone called RingRing.

It's the first iPhone App ever that finds out who's calling you before you answer the phone (even if the screen is locked via VoiceOver).
Every time you get a phone call and you don't know whose number it is, RingRing will automatically look it up for you in the web. Then it will send you a notification (or tell you via VoiceOver/Siri) and thus help you to decide if you should answer the phone call or not.

RingRing will remember your current GPS location by request and assign it to your conversation so that you can actually prove, that you have been at a certain place during a particular phone call.

Give it a try, it's available on the App Store. Just search for "RingRing"

I'm the developer, so you can reach me anytime... thank you!

Cheers

Gabe
