Indie film channel. I own all the content on my channel, but one of the videos is also on another channel that was monetized a year ago by one of the other producers. I tried to get this channel monetized but got this message:

Channel uses someone else's content without making changes that add significant value.
I can take down the video and reapply, but it will also kill my watch time. I have a couple questions.
1. Does the reused content rejection impact your channel long term? Basically like a unofficial channel strike.
A. If it does impact the channel is it better to just start fresh with a new channel?
2. Is there a way to contact G**gle about co-ownership of the Movie?
