Reupload my own video in another language

Hi,
I already have a monetized channel, and now I’m trying to build a similar one in another language. But when I upload a translated version of a video from my old channel to the new one, YouTube doesn’t seem to distribute it at all. I guess they see it as duplicated content. But is there any workaround?

Has anyone dealt with this before? I’d really appreciate any tips or advice.

Record a new summary in the target language with a fresh voice-over and short B-roll clips plus new text graphics and transitions. This makes it look like new content and avoids duplicate flags.
