ReTweet.com Sold for $2,50,000 in Flippa

sometime people do it just to add more value to their stuff (fake transaction).

But what reputation they get for doing fake transaction? I dont think all the 45 bids placed were fake..

Uhmm, according to the email from Flippa, the site sold for $250k .... OP added an extra zero there!

Too cheap if you ask me, somebody got a good deal on it ;)

Cheap?? Kidding? :)

250K is no way cheap to me :D

Everybody is telling this to another webmasters... it could be a fake created from flippa like a viral thing or something

It has 26m monthly pageviews, thus $250k is pretty cheap yes.

26m per month?

Yeah, 250k is damn cheap... if the owner was smart, he'd get that back within the first MONTH.

Cheap or not is relative to the buyer and what he/she plans to do with it.

I followed the auction from the beginning and that was the actual sale price: 250k. (too many commas in the OT)

But the only thing is that the site wasn't monetized at all, but it had a boatload of traffic.

It'll be interesting to see what the new owners do with it.

You need help in math. We no longer use commas in numbers but if we did, the correct number would be $250,000 because we group 3 digits together.

Not necessarily.. In some countries like India, we use tens, hundreds, thousands, lakhs (100 thousands), crores (100 lakhs).. So a comma after 2 digits is correct here..
