Guys,

I was astonished to see someone buying a site for $2,50,000

Retweet.com was sold for whopping $2,50,000 in flippa yesterday

sometime people do it just to add more value to their stuff (fake transaction).

But what reputation they get for doing fake transaction? I dont think all the 45 bids placed were fake..

Yeah, 250k is damn cheap... if the owner was smart, he'd get that back within the first MONTH.

Cheap or not is relative to the buyer and what he/she plans to do with it.

I followed the auction from the beginning and that was the actual sale price: 250k. (too many commas in the OT)

But the only thing is that the site wasn't monetized at all, but it had a boatload of traffic.

It'll be interesting to see what the new owners do with it.

You better check your eyes and learn to count how many zeroes are there.

He didn't add a zero. He just placed the comma incorrectly.

Not necessarily.. In some countries like India, we use tens, hundreds, thousands, lakhs (100 thousands), crores (100 lakhs).. So a comma after 2 digits is correct here..

Yup...tats how we use commas in India..
its read: 2 lakh and fifty thousand...
