Retrieving a lost instagram account

Hello,

I have a friend who had an Instagram account for her work as a dancing instructor. She had around 10K followers but they are real people and she uses it for her work. She said this morning she woke up and tried to access her account, accidentally clicked stuff when she is half awake, and might delete it. When you try to access her account it sends you to an older account and when you look for her name on Instagram it says there is no such a name. Is there any way to retrieve it?
