Retention Rate/Percentage

Hi guys, my old view provider use to
Deliver high retention views where the whole video would be watched up to 5 minutes long. My current provider delivers roughly a minute and a half. My question is, does the retention percentage rate affect how well a video will rank? For example would a video with a 50% retention rate not do as well ranking with a video with 99% retention rate? And roughly how much percent of a video needs to be seen to do well ranking wise? Thanks

As per my experience and knowledge, If the view length increase then it will really help you video.
If the watch length is less than that means users are not liking your video thus they are moving out.
