I'm new to retargeting and remarketing and am looking for a little guidance on the best use strategies and any tips and tricks you guys might have.

Do you have any worthwhile articles to read? PDF guides or ebooks?

Also are there any other networks you'd recommend such as Adroll/perfect audience/etc?

I personally find Google Adwords remarketing works best for me.
There are other qualified networks such as Adroll, FetchBack, mediaForge and the list goes on and on.
I would recommend working with google adwords first, because its fairly popular and you probably get a lot more supports from their official forum as well as other users like me.

    A few tips for remarketing:
    - Always show specific related ads to previous visitors (dont be lazy and show generic ad)
    - Send them to the right URL and not homepage etc.
    - Build multiple list for different goals etc.

There are a lot of strategies you can implement for remarketing, but it really depends what your goals are.

    Hope it helps.

when dealing with re-targeting - the biggest mistake people often make is - Annoy people....

Nothing annoy more than a banner ad just after you finished your landing on a website. It makes people feel like they are being tracked..

Re-marketing is one of the most efficient way to market and get those visitors back but give them some time to relax and then show your stuff. Also make sure to set a daily limit of number of impressions the visitor sees in a day. Forgetting this will show him your banner telling hey please come back on each and every adsense enabled website. Being a Digital advertising guy I did a small survey and most people were negative in terms of seeing the same ad again and again while seeing once in a while and again after sometime seemed fair to them.

As Originalposter mentioned, send them to the right URL with a specific ad . Including a little discount or spacial offer/gift if they return in the ad improves conversion rate..

    Just my 2 cents..

I agree with this. It sucks to see the same ad over and over again, so it is important to set a daily impression limit for each visitor.

I was wondering if there are companies out there ready to help you get on all remarketing networks for a fee, something like an all-in-one solution?
    Any idea?

I don't suggest you doing that, you really want to start off with a few, and analyze your traffic before going crazy with remarketing. Even tho its cheaper than a lot of other channels out there, but it will add up if you start randomly targeting everyone. Not only you are wasting money but also make them hate you because it can honestly be quite annoying.

I understand what you are saying but my point was different.
For example a company that already offers all these solutions and do it for you, customized per your needs.
