Retard Yelp Question?

If someone leaves a 1 star review..... I reached out, fixed/resolved the issue. They posted a "Review update" to 5 stars... Now when I go to the page, I see the 1 star problem, then the 5 star update.

Does Yelp calculate only the 5 star? Or does it calculate both, giving a value of say 2.5?

Should I reach out and ask the person to remove the 1 star? Is that possible? Or do they ahve to leave the 1 and the 5 star?

Any advice on this appreciated. ty

Just tested this for your on my account on a listing that only I have reviewed. As far as I can tell, it only counts the updated review. If I look at my review it only shows me the one rating unless I go to the business page.

I reviewed a business as 4 stars (months ago) and I’m still the only review. So it has a 4 star rating. I Updated it to 5 stars and it shows both ratings on the business page but says the business is now 5 stars

You are right only the current/updated one is counted
