So, I was wondering:

What's Google's (or your) take on going to expired sites through archive.org, and taking content that is not online/indexed anymore, and publishing in a new site?

Have you ever done this? Is it a safe way to "resurrect" content? Seems too easy to be true...
I was thinking on taking this content, giving it to a rewriter, and maybe use that.

Yes Most people here use expired content.
Yes it is pretty safe considering it doesn't exists anywhere else

Where you wanna use it?
Money site - no-no
for PBN/web 2.0s - yeah, you can use it if you don't wanna spend money on content. There is even services on marketplace who can scrap content for you on web archive...

I'd say they're good for a money site if you're re-writing them from scratch, some people just take them and republish them as is so go figure.
