Maybe your page likes are fake likes, or the person who liked your page is no longer using that account, you need to rebuild the page from scratch.

Do you think all account in 43k followers is still active after all this time? This account is like clone that all fb thinks

after a long period of inactivity your page audience may have shifted and I think you should be diligent in re-posting posts on a topic and calling out in the comments that may get people in the group paying attention to your topics again

Those followers may have been inactive for a long time. If you want to increase engagement, you can run ads or actively interact with groups that share similar content to yours.

Maybe the customer base that used to like your page has changed, so change it to suit them because after all, your page is 15 years old - too long a time to see many changes.

the members in your group are quite old, maybe they are no longer active
you need to promote the group, share posts and share the group
 
The page has been created for a long time so it will be difficult for people to interact immediately. You should post current trending content or set up a campaign to get more traffic.
