Restoring a expired domains content or start from scratch?

This may be a quick answer but can anyone from experience answer this? What is best to do, recover a expired domains content or just start from scratch?

If i don't recover the content will the Domain Authority level still stick? and lets say i do start from scratch and the content has no relation to the past pages or domain name that were set up in the past, how will that have an effect?

i'm going to assume you meant ' than ' and yes i did notice that when i bought this current domain. it indexed quicker than i thought.

That?s a good question. For my PBN, I have only used new content (but close to its original niche) but I have noticed that all my PBN domains gradually lose DA and PA (although one must remember this is Moz and not google). But I hear google is focusing more on relevancy of back links so I suspect putting up the original content (together with your new stuff) might be a better idea. I would be very interested to hear back about the resilience of domain metrics from anyone who has put back the original content onto expired domains.

My opinion would be to just start from scratch. Don't bother trying to go scraping the old content because you never really know how unique and genuine it was in the first place. Start fresh then you know what you're working with.

you can do either - google will still re-analyze the site and could make changes, I wouldn't bother re-creating unless it was content that looked handwritten and good.

if the content is unique then you can reuse it, otherwise it wouldn't hurt to have it rewritten

The biggest thing I do is make sure I account for all the old url paths. Ie: http://www.site.com/random-page-name/ may have several back links pointed to it.

on old and expired domains especially blogs, most of the juice comes from internal linking, So at the very least, you should check all the old pages PR and put them back up.
