RESTART FROM THE BEGINNING OR COTINUE?

hi guys,

My instagram belongs to the music niche. I started doing f/uf through the own app (I was a noob and didn’t now the limits). So the next that I did was buying one 1k “real followers” but not engaged target. With the aim of making the account growth I used bot with f/uf and likes with engaged users. The account reached 10k with a engagement ratio of 12% about in the first year. The thing is that we Very very small organically growth and we just grow doing f/uf. Also, I notice that my views are lower than other accounts with less followers. So my question:

1. Is it worth to creat a new account and scrape the most engage people or continue growing the actual account (1year of life)
2. Could be my account blacklisted?

Why not do some work in the actual profile than wasting another 1 year in another one.
The fake followers can kill your reach and waste a part of the reach rate of your account but it's not that bad.
Just try to be active in your account

I suggest that you try to get organic followers and stimulate engagement in your account. That should save you the time and effort that you could still be wasting with fake followers. I agree that you become active and that you post high quality and compelling content in your Instagram posts. But more importantly, be consistent. -Micah

You are not the only one feeling this way
I have an IG account too
it was close to 15k followers and the engagement was really shit
then I decided to block some untargeted followers. now it has 12k followers and reach and engagement is still shit but sometimes some posts hit the explore page and i get like 3% engagement.

Thank you very much for your suggestions and collaboration. I think there are many people in a similar situation.

Do not think that if I transfer users with a higher level of engagement and interaction to the "virgin" account without any type of blocking / bot and I use the current one (10k) as a "fan club" and keep doing f / u for later, transfer them to the "virgin" account would not have more chances of having a higher level of engagement and hit top explorer or have a organic growth?

Some data (without very poor organic reach)

Photos (24h): 1,100 likes
Videos (24h): 1,000 views and 800/900 likes

My idea is to pass users to the new account (without bots, just shot-outs and give-aways) and use the current one as a search system for target users for later transfer them to the new account.

I think my current account is damaged by using Bot, temporary blocks, fake followers ...

This is the only advice you should follow. Just start working on your account more.

Why don't you think creating a new account will be better? For me its easier if I just try to block ghost followers, inactive users.. but maybe im blacklisted so if my account is damaged is not better to start an a account from zero with the most engagement and targeted users from the actual?

If you are shadowbanned (blacklisted) then just wait, be real, until it disappears. How can you know if you are? Upload a photo with hashtags and from an account you don't follow yourself check if you appear in those hashtags. To much work? Search on Google, Shadowban instagram tester and just put your account there. It's pretty fiable.

12K is not a joke, why would you expend another 1 year creating another account to get followers from one to another. Create a slave account to improve yours more niche specific.

Yours is about music in general? Create one about rock music, another about classical music and shout out to your main (general music).

And if ghost followers really wonder you just block them, preferably manually. In a single week probably you can delete all of them, people inactive and without profile photo and bot accounts, that's all.

Good content, interaction and promo is the way to go after.

Personally, I think you can recover from the bought followers, just clean up your account and don't make the mistake again. It's better to grow naturally other than trying to cheat the system. And as always, when I feel like quitting I remember "If you can quit, you never really wanted it anyways". Best of luck to you!

Thank you so much again for your help. It has been one year of effort. I will try to recover my actual account doing next things;

- Block ghost followers
- Block fake followers(bought)
- Stop bot settings (do you recommend leave it during some days and start with slow actions?)
- Send DMs to active notifications

** If this doesn't work I will create a new and fresh account and transfer the most engage people...
*** Do you know any content research/discovery tool to see the most engage content of each sector? I would like to know the music cover that have more engagement in order to replicate it.

Thanks again guys, I will tell you my conclusions and give you feedback.

You've already invested time and money into this account, just switch to a natural growth strategy, plan your content ahead and keep up with the trends. It takes passion to be a good influencer, so if you're no longer interested in your niche, might as well sell the account.
