I've been thinking quite a lot about a website's response time in general.

I have read somewhere; if the website doesn't load within 3 seconds, then the visitor will closed the page.
So if I have a US based website with streaming videos and want to target people in Europe; I have to expect many of my visitors will close down the site even before the video starts.

So If I want to target international (people from US, Europe, Asia etc.) I have to have a server in either every country or on every continent.

But let's say I want to target countries in South America, how will the response time be when I have a US based website?
Will I loose visitors because of the response time? Or will the response time be low?

Don't worry.. I'm using a US web hosting and my traffic is from Europe and I don't have any problem.

1%-2% maybe they will close the page, but really it won't affect to you at all.

BTW I'm doing CPA.

with today's browsers which are using a smart loading is very difficult to find a host which won't start loading content after 3 seconds
