How much traffic can you do monthly per proxy while attempting to prevent blockage/bans?

Hard to say. Depends on how long you are running your tasks and how quickly the proxy provider eats data. As you use more and more providers you can tell that some eat data quicker than others. If you’re only doing initial drop and stop right after then it could last 2-3 releases depending on task amount.

What would a typical traffic amount be if you've noticed any. Like are we talking 20 mb? 200 mb? 2 GB?

It depends entirely on the website and how many pages you load. You can install plugins that block images etc to decrease the amount of data you use.

Optimally what would that typically bring it to if you were doing smaller pages? Just trying to get a range or estimate

It really depends, spend a couple dollars to get some residential data and run some tests

its literally going to depend on the proxies actions
so there wont be a 100% usage amount, its gonna vary
on your actions
