Residential or ISP proxies for the long run?

As I only had experience with the data center proxies so far, and now I am trying to move toward something more stable for the long run, I am trying to decide between residential and ISP proxies So, for those of you who had experience with both,

which one was better in your case?.

It depends on your use case. Residential proxies usually have better IP reputation and higher success rates for sensitive tasks, while ISP proxies offer better speed and stability with cleaner IPs than datacenter proxies.

For long-term projects, many users choose residential when IP quality matters most, and ISP when they need a balance between stability and performance.
 
I have used both and personally I would go with ISP for the long run. They have served me consistently and the speed was satisfactory. Residential proxies may be better option depending on one’s specific needs.
 
It comes down to your specific use case and budget, as moving away from datacenter proxies will definitely raise your costs. For scale scraping, residential proxies are ideal to bypass bot detection, whereas static ISP proxies shine for long-term, fixed-location tasks.

In practice, most users use both together. They run residential proxies for broad data collection and ISP proxies for stable, ongoing operations.
 
If one is looking for something reliable for the long run, i would recommend going with ISP. That has been my personal preference so far residential proxies should also be considered depending on one’s Specific needss
 
If the goal is long-term use and a static IP address is required, people typically prefer ISP proxies (static residential proxies) over rotating residential proxies.
