I am thinking of stockpiling a consumer product or food product now and reselling it at a profit when its price grows insane due to inflation and the current economic turmoil.

According to some experts, current shortages in food and consumer products will not be serious and will not be permanent in Canada where I am from (not everyong agrees but I am going to assume this is true).

But I think inflation will be around for a very long time.

If you agree, what should I stockpile? What is likely going to be super expensive in the future?

Stockpile prepper products. There is crazy market potential in us and Canada.

As @IM Rider suggested, prepper products are a good choice. Besides that, you can also stockpile non-perishable goods such as shampoo and conditioner, hand soap, bar soap, deodorant, diapers, wipes, toothpaste, over-the-counter medicine, vitamins, etc.
