hey guys, I came across this ebay ad for buying software/hardware that will generate unlock codes for you for blackberries. It says you can unlock unlimited # of times. anyone think this can be very profitable? theres lots of sites out there selling unlock codes, some even free. I checked my local craigslist and stores charge around $10 to unlock your berry. These guys are charging $1000 for their software/hardware with upgrades to support future model berries

you can normally find information for unlocking phones for free, why pay 1000 dollars when you can do a few days of research and accomplish the same thing?

where??? my nokia is laying useless, I can't seem to find anything that's free on the net.

most phone brands/OS's have communities around modding them, thats where you find that information

for instancce, there is/was a website called motomodders, it is/was a community that was all about modding/unlocking/hacking motorola phones (not sure if it still exists, i was a member years ago during the razr era)

theres 2-3 for android based phones of all types (os based communities), etc etc

just find out some info on your phone(s) of interest, model, firmware/OS versions, etc, and get to googling

this was for blackberry unlocks specifically .. there is 1 site out there providing free unlock codes but i think they are just doing it temporarily to build traffic to their domain. If you can find a surefire method to unlock blackberries I will pay you for it.

spent weeks looking and all i could come up with was systems to buy that generate the codes

Gsm unlocking is a major hustle. It was actually one of the first niches i was in online.

I would pass on the software...main reason is because att wants to buy tmobile and when that happens there will be very little need to unlock...at least in the US...especially because tmo gives out unlock codes freely.
