When using google adwords tool to research kw's, what's the difference between exact and broad search data?

For example, in my situation there's a keyword that has LOTS of broad monthly searches (100k)+ but when it's exact less than 100.

When I use google trends for that keyword, it gets good amount of searches - comparable to other good traffic keywords.

can anyone answer this?

If keyword = "cheapest mouse"
Then exact search will be = cheapest mouse
While broad search will be something like cheapest mouse available, cheap mouse, cheaps mouse.
If I'm not wrong.

Here I have explained about the match types(Broad/Phrase/Exact) . The data what you see in G0ogle Trends is NOT the actual search count. It's a scale [SIZE=-1] based on the average worldwide traffic. Read this for more information.

When you target a keyword, always check the exact search count to estimate the traffic.

Is there a way to check if there's a high probability of users clicking on ads for my keyword?

I think I've found a gold mine of a niche but not sure if users will click on ads.
