Hi everyone,
I recently asked here whether my PhD in Economics could be useful in SEO. Some members mentioned that a research background can actually be valuable for data-driven SEO, especially when it comes to analyzing data, identifying patterns, and making evidence-based decisions.
Since I’m still relatively new to SEO, I’d really like to focus on learning the research-oriented side of SEO rather than just basic tactics.
Can anyone recommend:
• Good threads or groups on BHW about data-driven SEO
• Useful YouTube channels
Blogs, courses, or communities that focus on analytical SEO
My goal is to learn how to apply research and data analysis skills in real SEO projects.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

A research mindset actually fits SEO well, especially for testing and data analysis. Focus on areas like SERP analysis, SEO experiments, and large-scale keyword data.

Ahrefs and Search Engine Journal publish solid data-driven studies worth following.
