Be honest you are 14 or somewhere around that age right? Also I can imagine why you would want to be a mod? Cuase it's shiny? You do realize that mods can contribute to the forum in a way and just from the fact that you just registered and already want to be a mod gives me an idea that you definitely won't be of any help as a mod.

Following are the requirements:
1) You need to attend mod classes regularly.
2) If you miss a single class, then you may end up missing chance to be a mod.
3) Appear for mod examinations wherein the likes of BB and Wiz would be invigilators.
4) Once you qualify the exam, start a beer giveaway, wherein every member of the forum gets one can of beer bottle.
5) Last but definitely the most important requirement is that you got to stop asking stupid questions. ( There's negative marking for that). Don't take these requirements lightly and buy an e-book " How to be a BHW Moderator?" in order to prepare for the test. All the best.

And what exactly are the advantages to being a mod?
Given the degenerate age we find ourselves living in, being able to strip the chrome off a trailer hitch in short order might be a good credential to highlight?

That's from Exec VIP which is not the same as being a mod (I'm just a section mod anyway). They are completely different sections. Exec VIPs are voted in, moderators are not.

being a mod of a certain field requires knowledge of that field
be it - seo - downlaods - tools - bst's - proxies -
no1 joins a forum does 13 posts and says how do i become a mod
mods are chosen for there work ethic, how they deal with things,
there attitude [ thats me out lolz ] if you have to ask your not qualified .
