Required: A unique but basic website

Hi there,

My plan is to set up a non-flashy, clean, professional-looking website which will publish articles (but it must not resemble a blog) on a regular basis. That's all. Nothing more complicated than that for now. To see exactly what I mean, view the attachments to this post ('Home Page', then 'Article 1 Page').

I am happy to use Wordpress or whatever, as long as the website does not look like a blog. I will need to track visitor stats (by article, page view length time, etc.) - nothing complex.

But I have big plans for this website so I need it to be reliable and totally unique in terms of design (this shouldn't be too difficult).

I will also need help setting up hosting for this website.

Later on I may also need help in terms of SEO and possibly in the development of related apps.

My budget is unlimited but I can't imagine this project should cost much, given the lack of complexity involved.

Do you want a scratch design or you want to use a premium theme that will be changed almost on any aspect by your needs???
What CMS do you want to use??? Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal??? or do you want a custom cms system???

I'd like the design to be from scratch and I would be happy to use Wordpress or the like as long as the website does not look like a blog.

Here is my plan for the website:
When you go to the website, there is only one visible page. At the top of this page is the logo. Underneath is a brief text. Below this text are about five different blocks which contain summaries of different articles (a picture with a bit of text). When you click on a block (or perhaps a hyperlink in a block) then it leads to a new page. This new page has my website logo at the top and the relevant article underneath it (one small image and the text content of the article). The ~five articles will change on a weekly basis.

Essentially it's a REALLY basic website, which is why I wasn't sure whether WordPress is really necessary. I would also like the website to be as independent as possible so relying on WordPress is not ideal.

If you will update your site like you said with new posts then my opinion is to go for Wordpress.

What is your budget for this work???

I have an unlimited budget but given how simple this website is I don't think that a huge amount of money should be necessary. I am tempted by WordPress rather than a customised CMS.

What other forms of contact do you have??? Can we talk on Skype???
