Your account is very new, so you can always ask a mod to contact an administrator to change the name for you. They usually only change usernames if you have a very good reason to change it, so I do not know if they'll honour the request or if the 15 posts-PM rule applies to PM's sent to mods

Yes, that job thread I created is also a bit of a 'desperate post', I regret posting it, so I'd kinda want that deleted as well...

You can report your own thread and ask a mod to delete it, if your reason is good, the thread will be deleted

Moderators and administrators are busy, so it'll probably be a while before they even saw a PM from any of us.
They'll see your thread eventually, but why not just keep the account? Your username is fine and your other thread can just be closed or deleted.

You just registered and noone knows you. If I was you I'd go to "my settings" and swap out your current email for a throwaway. Then register a new account with your current email. Afterwards come back and pm a mod that you switched accounts. They'll ban your current one.
