[Request] Measuring Space on a Web Page

I was wondering if anyone knew of any google chrome extensions or anything else that could help me measure a space on a webpage. I am looking specifically for something that works similarly to the rectangular marquee tool in Photoshop, but that can be used on a webpage to measure distance.

I know it is not what you requested but you could make a printscreen and import it in photoshop. From there, it is a piece of cake.

I'm using a tiny piece of software called "free ruler" for mac.
It does exactly what you're asking for, but well, if you're using a mac.
You can get it (free) from http://www.pascal.com/software/freeruler/

There are a few similar software for windows, i.e. http://www.arulerforwindows.com/ (I haven't tested it though)
